Soccer balls for a birthday!

This is Chris Straka, son of Darren & Rebekah of Georgia, who just had his 4th birthday. In lieu of presents, Chris asked his party-goers to bring a soccer ball (or other gear) with them to be donated to Eric's Goal! What an incredibly generous boy! It's wonderful to see such a giving-nature in one so young.

Happy birthday Chris! And much thanks for your donations of 11 soccer balls, 7 pair soccer shorts, 2 pair soccer cleats, 1 pair shin guards. We are sure the children of Iraq will enjoy them!

Maryland Youth Supporting our Troops

Hope Lookingland of the Soccer Shack continues to gather support for Eric's Goal as well as for our troops in Iraq! This poster will be sent to Eric's Platoon this week with an additional 10 T-shirts from the Soccer Shack and a few other recent donations we have received.

Thanks to Eric's Aunt Sonis and his Grandpa Dave for modeling this great poster! Notice the Union Jack in the background representing Eric's British heritage in honor of England's soccer game against Portugal in the World Cup today. Unfortunately it didn't help much as England ultimately lost!
